Tips for Specialty RN Resume Template:
Specialty RNs (ICU, pediatrics, oncology, CRNA, etc.) are in high demand, but competition is also tough. Here, recruiters want to see specialized skills, advanced certifications, and measurable expertise.
- Showcase your specialty early: Mention it in your summary headline: “ICU Nurse with 5 years of critical care expertise and CCRN certification.”
- Highlight specialty-specific skills: For example: ventilator management, sedation monitoring, pediatric growth tracking, pain management, anesthesia techniques.
- Certifications go on top: Put your specialty credentials (CRNA, CCRN, CPN, OCN, etc.) right after your summary. Recruiters scan for these first.
- Include advanced procedures or technologies: Document your experience with ECMO, EHR systems, or ultrasound-guided procedures.
- Quantify your work: “Provided anesthesia for 250+ surgical cases annually with zero safety incidents” carries more impact than generic duties.
